Iguazu Jungle Lodge renews its Gold certification in Green Hotels

In a context where sustainability has ceased to be a trend and has become a real responsibility, Iguazú Jungle Lodge reaffirms its commitment to sustainable tourism by obtaining, once again, the GOLD Level Ecolabel of the Hoteles + Verdes program, a certification awarded by the Association of Tourism Hotels of the Argentine Republic (AHT).

This recognition confirms that the hotel meets —and exceeds— the demanding standards of the Sustainable Hotel Management Standard 2024 version, endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which brings together the most rigorous international criteria in tourism sustainability.

A commitment that is renewed

The Gold recertification consolidates the path initiated by the lodge to minimize its environmental impact, strengthen operational efficiency and promote responsible tourism in harmony with the natural environment of the Misiones rainforest.

The areas evaluated include:

• Comprehensive waste management

• Energy efficiency and responsible water use

• Sustainable gastronomic practices

• Staff training in environmental policies

• Responsible communication with guests and the community

The distinction covers accommodation, gastronomy and pool services, and is the result of the coordinated work of all the hotel teams who day by day implement measurable and verifiable actions to raise the standards of sustainability in each process.

The Gold certification is valid until November 2028 and remains subject to annual validations, which implies constant continuous improvement. Iguazú Jungle Lodge will continue to expand its sustainable programs and actions, accompanying the hotel's expansion with practices that prioritize environmental stewardship and the local community.
